Monitor and operate facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner. May fill in as Shift Supervisor when needed.


  1. Operate material handling equipment when necessary.
  2. Perform necessary actions to operate in accordance with all safety regulations, procedures, and permits.
  3. Assist with bringing systems on or offline.
  4. Generate work orders as needed.
  5. Assist in electrical switching.
  6. Perform chemical and water analyses.
  7. Assist in reviewing and commenting on safety plans and manuals.
  8. Review past and present data trends and bring to light abnormalities.
  9. Assists in equipment adjustments to improve operations.
  10. Prove on-the-job-training.
  11. Ensure waste pit management system is implemented and maintained.
  12. Maintain a daily control room/operating log of activities.
  13. Maintain plant cleanliness.
  14. Familiarize oneself with the responsibilities and duties of the operations Shift Supervisor.


  1. Speak, read, write, and understand English.
  2. A valid Class ā€œCā€ Maine vehicle license.
  3. A Maine State Third Class Engineers License.
  4. College degree with a BS & 3 years of experience, an AS degree with 5 years of experience, or a High School degree with 7 years of experience.
  5. Able to work in dangerous and sometimes adverse locations/environments.
  6. Possess complete knowledge of power plant equipment and systems.
  7. General knowledge of first aid methods and procedures.
  8. Excellent intrapersonal communication skills.
  9. Good math skills.
